It's only one kind of person
That can rejoice in defeat
smile in the storm
praise the King
That person is walking with a candle
with Jesus by his side
guiding, so fatherly, so gently.
He can never look back, never.
Well. today was just... funny man!
I just thought i could make it. 7m for long jump! but somehow it never pulled through
not even when i had a good jump. This is the 5 th comp trying. Somehow i never felt any better.
my ankle is jammed. quite pain. but i found comfort in one man. He's name is paul.
paul lived way back when people dont have underwear or t-shirts yet. They wore clothes.
they travelled in donkeys and camels. One guy travelled on a cloud. cool times those days.
Paul is a man who is fervent in what he believes in. call him a radical. chiongser. anything! He goes all out for what he believes in. He believes in God.
But at that time people don't like what he did. Going everywhere telling everyone that YOU HAVED SINNED. YOU ARE GOING TO A LOST ETERNITY. YOU CAN"T GO TO HEAVEN WITHOUT JESUS. and finishing it off with. WILL YOU RECEIVE JESUS IN YOUR LIFE?
so they tried to stone him(yeah in those days they don;t pick pebbles, mind you they have really
large rocks in those times) They jailed him. you name it. guess what? Paul never gave up.
instead, he says.
"If i must boast, i will boast in the things that show my weakness"
"so that Christ's power may rest on me... i delight in weaknesses, in sults, in hardships, in difficulties."
And here's the killer
"For when i am weak, then i am strong"
From 2 corinthians 11.
I was encouraged by this man. Did he live a meaningful life? you bet. i can only look at my losses
and say. "Paul, if i were you. i'd be praising god for keeping me humble, for letting me know that
God is the one who bring s person up and down." I was looking at his life and i was wondering what on earth is there in Jesus that made him do all that. Was it emotion? stern belief? His Ego? a prize? His personality. oh there it is
When he was killing Christians himself before, He was suddenly struck by God and was blinded.
Then God said "why do you persucute me!" And the rest was history. HE never looked back
Thank God for Paul. though i can never be as crazy as him, (imagine changi prison and the whiping) I sure can learn from him.
Thanks father, you are still, Still , still Good and Holy thought i have missed the mark again.
Thanks that am able to compete. Father i heard that you will grant my wishes if i try my best
Lord i was put in effort. for your glory. alone.
Then he was riding along the land of opportunities
and they slip away, each begin so close.
He was getting really frustrated saying
"JUST ONCE!"
But the master never spoke the result.
he knew it'd cause him treat him like a wishing machine
